Basil graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Alberta in April 2011. Basil graduated with a Juris Doctor from Bond University located in the Gold Coast, Australia in October 2013. He was called to the Law Society of Alberta in 2016 and the Law Society of British Columbia in 2017.
Basil strives to provide excellent service to commercial and individual clients in a variety of litigation matters, including:
- Personal injury;
- Contract disputes;
- Construction disputes;
- Debt collections;
- Landlord and tenant disputes;
- Product liability;
- Insurance, including long-term disability and automotive insurance breaches.
In addition to litigation Basil has experience in Criminal Court and Real-Estate transactions.
Basil has acted as counsel for his clients in the Provincial Courts in Alberta and B.C., Supreme Court of British Columbia, and the Court of Queen’s Bench in Alberta.
Basil was born in Saskatchewan but lived in Alberta most of his life and calls this province his home. Outside of the office he can be found trying some bites at the newest restaurants and cafes with family and friends, riding his bike, reading, or checking out the latest technology trends.
Basil has never worked for the insurance companies, strongly believes in local values and looks forward to representing the public in Alberta as a Partner at Diamond and Diamond.
